From the garage into the heart of the independent community: In 1979 Paul Westerberg, Chris Mars, Tommy Stinson and his brother Bob Stinson began to maltreat their instruments in a garage in Minnesota, only a year later they had their first record deal in the bag: the now cult label Twin / Tone from Minneapolis signed the Replacemants virtually from the stage and released three albums and an EP until 1984.
