Australian artist Eliza Hull returns with her new album, You’d Think We’d Be Used To Change By Now.
A deeply personal and expansive record, the album captures a period of profound change — moving through identity, desire, relationships and the slow process of finding your way back to yourself.
Written between Castlemaine, Melbourne and London, You’d Think We’d Be Used To Change By Now was created across a series of collaborations with acclaimed producers including Pip Norman (Baker Boy, Missy Higgins), Liam Howe (Lana Del Rey, FKA Twigs), James Knight (The Kooks, Ellie Goulding), with Eliza co-producing the record for the first time. Much of the album was brought to life at Sound Recordings on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, Castlemaine.
The result is Eliza’s most assured and sonically ambitious work to date. Moving between intimate piano, raw live instrumentation, cinematic textures and moments of striking intensity, the album expands on the atmospheric sound Eliza has become known for while allowing something bolder and less guarded to emerge.
